Overview We are seeking a dedicated Automotive Parts Dismantler to join our salvage yard. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently dismantling vehicles to recover usable parts. The position involves dismantling vehicles, testing motor, testing transmission and changing tires. Responsibilities Dismantle vehicles carefully to extract usable automotive parts, including engines, transmissions, body panels, and tires. Perform tire changes as part of the dismantling process when necessary. Prepare vehicles for end of life. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during disassembly procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency. Inspect parts for damage or wear, ensuring only quality components are recovered. Be able to lift over 50 pounds Experience Must have at least 3 years experience. Prior experience in automotive dismantling, auto repair, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components is advantageous. Ability to operate hand tools and basic power tools safely. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards. Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy vehicle parts and perform manual labor throughout the workday. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
