In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition using advanced auto body repair techniques. Your expertise will help ensure our customers receive high-quality service, restoring their vehicles' appearance and structural integrity efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Perform automotive structural repairs, including dent removal, sheet metal work, and frame measurements and straightening using specialized tools and techniques. Conduct auto body repairs such as panel replacement, welding (including MIG welding and automotive welding equipment), sanding, and finishing to restore vehicle surfaces. Follow OEM procedures when repairing a vehicle. Utilize fabrication repair techniques to create or modify parts as needed, including working with sheet metal and automotive parts installation. Use hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and welding equipment effectively while adhering to safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, welding repair, soldering, and other fabrication techniques. Skills Proven experience working as an automotive body technician within a dealership or professional shop environment. Strong knowledge of auto body repair processes including auto restoration, automotive structural repair, and cosmetic refinishing. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, welding repair, and automotive welding equipment usage. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and other shop equipment safely and efficiently. Experience with understanding of automotive parts installation procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs. Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repair work. Knowledge of auto glass replacement procedures and automotive dent repair techniques. ICAR certifications and experience repairing/working with aluminum panels and equipment are not required but are preferred. Assist with auto glass replacement and automotive parts installation to ensure proper fitment and safety. Not required but is preferred.
