Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Body Shop Estimator to join our automotive service team. In this pivotal role, you will assess vehicle damage, prepare accurate repair estimates, and communicate effectively with customers, technicians, and insurance adjusters. Your expertise will help streamline the repair process, ensure customer satisfaction, and maximize shop profitability. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to identify necessary repairs, including collision repair, mechanical issues, and cosmetic damage. Utilize estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools to prepare detailed repair estimates that include parts, labor, and materials. Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair procedures, costs, and timelines to ensure transparency and build trust. Collaborate with technicians to review repair plans, prioritize work orders, and ensure timely completion of repairs. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, transmission repairs, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brakes, and other automotive maintenance services. Handle insurance claims processing by providing accurate estimates and documentation for insurance adjusters. Maintain detailed records of all estimates, customer interactions, and repair documentation in compliance with dealership or shop standards. Ensure excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally while promoting additional services to enhance vehicle safety and performance. Experience Previous experience as an auto body estimator or service writer in a dealership or collision repair environment is
REQUIRED
Familiarity with estimating software programs such as CCC ONE or Mitchell is essential. Hands-on mechanic experience or background in automotive diagnostics enhances your ability to accurately assess vehicle damage. Proven ability to upsell services while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
