Responsibilities Prepare vehicles for repair by cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces to ensure optimal paint adherence and finish quality Use hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment to strip old paint, remove rust, and apply primer or base coats Perform auto body repairs such as dent removal, panel alignment, and minor structural adjustments using welding techniques when necessary Conduct auto painting and buffing to achieve smooth, high-quality finishes that meet manufacturer standards Assist with auto glass replacement and detailing to ensure vehicles look pristine both inside and out Support vehicle maintenance tasks including fluid checks, light mechanical repairs, and heavy lifting to move or position vehicles safely Follow safety protocols diligently while handling tools, chemicals, and equipment to maintain a safe work environment Skills Prior dealership experience or background in auto body repair highly preferred Proficiency with welding techniques and mechanical knowledge for vehicle restoration tasks Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, buffing machines, and airless paint sprayers with precision Strong understanding of auto painting procedures and detailing techniques for flawless finishes Knowledge of auto glass replacement processes and basic vehicle maintenance practices Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repair progress and expectations Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during auto estimating or repair assessments Mechanic experience or familiarity with auto restoration projects enhances versatility in this role Embark on a career where your craftsmanship makes a real difference!
