Duties Perform automotive structural repairs, auto body repairs, and dent removal using advanced techniques such as MIG welding, soldering, and welding repair. Utilize sheet metal work, fabrication repair techniques, and auto restoration skills to restore damaged vehicle frames and panels. Operate a variety of power tools, sanding tools, automotive welding equipment, and airless paint spraying systems to prepare surfaces for refinishing. Conduct auto painting, automotive cosmetic repairs, and auto body refinishing to achieve a flawless finish that meets manufacturer standards. Install automotive parts including auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision. Use hand tools and fabrication skills to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining efficiency during repairs. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes clearly and ensuring timely completion of work orders such as auto estimating and parts installation. Skills Proven experience working as an automotive body technician in a dealership or collision center environment. Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, sheet metal work, and auto restoration techniques. Proficiency in MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, and automotive welding equipment operation. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and automotive parts installation. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and spray painting equipment for detailed cosmetic repairs. Ability to interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and auto estimating documents accurately. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repair processes and timelines. Physical ability for heavy lifting and working on vehicles in various positions; familiarity with working safely with automotive parts and tools.
