Davidson Collision of Watertown is looking for a skilled and experienced Auto Body Painter who takes pride in turning every repair into a flawless finish. Pay Range:

$1,000 - $1,400 per week, plus commission, based on experience

Friday Responsibilities:

Prepare vehicles for refinishing through sanding, masking, priming, and surface preparation. Accurately mix, match, and apply automotive paint. Apply basecoats, clearcoats, primers, and other refinishing materials. Blend panels and match colors to create seamless, factory-quality repairs. Identify and correct surface imperfections before final refinishing. Perform detailed quality inspections on completed paintwork. Maintain spray booths, paint equipment, tools, and work areas. Follow all safety procedures when handling paints, solvents, and chemicals. Work closely with body technicians and estimators to keep repairs moving and meet completion deadlines. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Previous experience painting in a professional automotive setting. Strong knowledge of automotive refinishing processes, products, and materials. Proven color-matching and blending skills. The ability to consistently deliver high-quality finishes with minimal rework. Familiarity with modern paint systems and spray equipment. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job right. The ability to work independently and contribute to a team environment. Strong time-management skills and the flexibility to handle changing deadlines and priorities. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.

Preferred Skills:

Waterborne paint experience. I-CAR certifications. Previous Auto Body BOCES or college courses.

Physical Requirements:

The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. The ability to occasionally perform repetitive motion tasks such as typing on a computer, writing on documents, using common hand tools. The ability to regularly traverse areas throughout the dealership. The ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The ability to stand for long periods of time.
