Duties Remove damaged and undamaged parts from vehicles Read repair orders to identify repairs taking place and perform teardown/reassembly accordingly Properly notate parts for replacement or repair Work with our estimators to identify additional damage to create an accurate repair plan Properly and safely store parts in an organized manner to ensure reassembly is smooth after repairs are complete Diagnose problems with vehicle computer and electrical systems Reassemble vehicles after repairs are complete to pre-accident condition Perform pre/post repair scans to ensure vehicle computer systems are operating correctly Qualifications Experience in the automotive field and at least a basic knowledge of vehicles is required Experience in the disassembly and reassembly of body panels and other vehicle parts Knowledge of automotive structural components and sheet metal Experience with auto body repair and automotive parts installation. Familiarity with repair estimating procedures Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, sanding tools Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
