Overview Join our dynamic team as an Auto Body Technician and become a vital part of transforming vehicles back to their original glory! In this energetic role, you'll utilize your expertise in automotive structural repair, auto body repair to restore vehicles after collisions or damage. Your hands-on skills with welding, fabrication, sanding will ensure each vehicle leaves looking flawless. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive auto body repairs, including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural realignment, welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and soldering. Utilize hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment to shape, repair, and restore vehicle panels and frames. Conduct auto restoration projects by fabricating custom parts or repairing existing components through fabrication repair techniques. Install automotive parts including auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision. Use auto estimating skills to assess damage severity and determine the necessary repair procedures accurately. Engage in heavy lifting and physical tasks required for vehicle repairs. Qualifications Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within a dealership or independent shop. Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, sheet metal work, and auto body repair techniques. Skilled in MIG welding, soldering, welding repair, and fabrication methods essential for structural integrity and cosmetic excellence. Familiarity with automotive parts installation. Mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment. Ability to perform auto glass replacement is a plus. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work on vehicles for extended periods while adhering to safety protocols.
