Here at EP, we believe in working as a team and allowing each technician to do what he or she does best, as such, our audio department handles all things wiring and electronic related. Tasks completed by the electronics department range from general wiring of all accessories/electronics installed to audio upgrades and related fabrication. With that said, a successful candidate will benefit from a wide skill set with proficiency in wiring, modern vehicle integration, and fabrication. Experience with CAD based CNC and laser equipment is a heavily weighted advantage. The general wiring aspect of the electronics departments involves a vast variety of automotive accessories installed within the EP house. This can be anything from the wiring portion of Amp Research power steps, accessory lighting, air management systems, compressors, winches, and just about anything else you can imagine that would in installed at an automotive accessory shop. In addition, common electrical accessories installed requiring varying degrees of integration include camera systems, radar based blind spot monitors, backup sensors, and radar detector/laser jamming suites. Audio specific installs here at EP run the gamut from adding bass, simple speaker and low power upgrades, to fairly complex or even full blown active systems with processing and in-depth tuning. Fabrication will range from adapter plates and basic enclosures (a grounding in PROPER enclosure theory and construction is a plus), to custom enclosures requiring advanced fabrication knowledge and skill-set. Our state-of-the-art facility is fully air conditioned and includes a dedicated fab room with CNC/CAD station, 3 routers, and a full size table saw along with a dedicated laser room and work station. We do expect you to have the tools of the trade including a DMM, soldering iron, general hand tools, and the like.
