Auto Glass Technician Pay:

$20.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Auto Glass Technician to join our team. We are open to candidates ranging from experienced auto glass professionals to individuals with automotive or mechanical experience who are interested in learning the trade. Pay is based on experience and skill level:

Experienced Auto Glass Technician:

Up to approximately $30/hr for candidates with several years of experience who can independently perform all auto glass duties without supervision

Automotive/Body Shop Experience:

Approximately $22-$24/hr for candidates with mechanical experience from an automotive repair facility, body shop, dealership, or similar environment

Entry Level:

Starting around $20/hr for mechanically inclined candidates with no previous automotive experience who are willing and able to learn Responsibilities Remove and install windshields, door glass, back glass, and other automotive glass Inspect vehicles and glass prior to installation Properly prepare surfaces and apply adhesives/sealants Remove and reinstall moldings, trim, panels, and related vehicle components Identify potential installation issues or vehicle damage Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area Follow proper safety and installation procedures Provide professional, quality workmanship Complete assigned work accurately and efficiently Qualifications Experienced candidates should have: Previous professional auto glass installation/replacement experience Ability to perform auto glass work independently with minimal or no supervision Knowledge of proper removal, preparation, installation, and sealing procedures Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills We will also consider candidates with: Auto mechanic or automotive technician experience Auto body/collision repair experience Dealership or automotive service experience Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills A willingness to learn auto glass installation What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is dependable, mechanically capable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in doing the job correctly . You do not have to be an experienced auto glass technician to be considered. Candidates with automotive experience or strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
