Job Description

Summary The Detailer is responsible for ensuring every completed service truck body and chassis are thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and presented in customer-ready condition before final release. This position plays a key role in maintaining quality standards by identifying cosmetic defects, completing minor touch-up work when appropriate, and reporting issues requiring additional repair or correction. Responsibilities Clean and detail completed truck bodies and chassis, including vacuuming compartments, storage areas, and cab interiors, and cleaning all interior and exterior surfaces. Clean glass, windows, mirrors, and other visible surfaces to ensure a streak-free, customer-ready appearance. Remove temporary decals, labels, protective materials, and markings while ensuring all required safety and warning decals remain in place. Inspect completed units for cleanliness and other cosmetic defects such as scratches, chips, scuffs, runs, and blemishes. Perform approved minor touch-up work to correct cosmetic defects and improve overall appearance. Identify and promptly report defects, damage, or quality concerns that exceed approved touch-up limits to the Supervisor or Lead. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following company safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. Qualifications Previous vehicle detailing, automotive cleaning, or related experience preferred but not required. Ability to recognize cosmetic defects and quality concerns. Ability to follow instructions and established cleaning procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Good organizational and housekeeping skills. Positive attitude and willingness to support team goals.
