Automotive / Auto Glass Repair Learn a Specialized Trade & Build Your Skills We are currently seeking a dependable, motivated Windshield Repair Technician to join an established Oklahoma City auto-glass company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, learning new skills, and taking pride in completing quality work. Previous windshield repair experience is not required. The company is willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, good judgment, and the ability to follow instructions. This position starts at $15.00
  • $16.00 per hour, depending on experience , with opportunities for pay increases upon permanent hire based on performance, skill development, and overall fit. Work Schedule Monday

  • 5:00 PM One-hour lunch break No regular weekend schedule What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will be someone who: Is eager and willing to learn Shows initiative and stays productive throughout the workday Can follow instructions and learn new procedures Demonstrates good judgment and practical problem-solving skills Is dependable, punctual, and consistent Takes pride in completing work correctly Is comfortable working independently once trained Maintains a positive and professional attitude Pays close attention to detail Is comfortable working with customers and their vehicles Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening Must be able to pass a background check We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and takes initiative rather than waiting to be directed through every task.
Mechanical Aptitude Being mechanically inclined is a plus, but extensive automotive experience is not required. Candidates should have a basic comfort level working around vehicles, tools, and equipment. For example, someone who understands basic tasks such as properly connecting a battery to a vehicle, safely using common hand tools, or completing simple mechanical tasks may have the type of aptitude needed to succeed in this position. The company is more interested in finding someone who can learn, retain information, troubleshoot basic issues, and apply practical thinking than someone who already has years of automotive experience. Primary Responsibilities The Windshield Repair Technician will be trained to inspect and repair damaged automotive glass.
Responsibilities may include:
Inspecting windshields for chips, cracks, and other damage Determining whether windshield damage qualifies for repair Preparing damaged areas for repair Cleaning chips and cracks prior to beginning work Operating specialized windshield repair equipment Applying and injecting repair resin Using curing equipment to complete windshield repairs Finishing and polishing repaired areas Inspecting completed work for quality Protecting customer vehicles while performing repairs Keeping tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized Maintaining repair supplies and notifying management when materials are running low Following company procedures and safety expectations Communicating professionally with customers and coworkers Customer Service Responsibilities This position involves working directly around customer vehicles, making professionalism, communication, and respect extremely important.
Technicians are expected to:
Treat every customer's vehicle with care Maintain a clean and professional appearance Communicate respectfully with customers Answer basic questions about the repair process when appropriate Maintain an organized work area Provide friendly and professional customer service Represent the company professionally at all times Experience That May Transfer Well Previous experience in the following areas may be helpful but is not required: Automotive repair Automotive detailing Auto glass Manufacturing Assembly Construction Maintenance Mechanical work Hand or power tool operation Warehouse or production environments No extensive automotive background is required. If you are someone who can work with your hands, follow instructions, think through basic problems, and are willing to learn, you may be an excellent fit for this opportunity. Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to: Stand for extended periods Bend, reach, kneel, and work around vehicles Perform repetitive hand and wrist movements Maintain good hand-eye coordination Work over vehicle hoods and around windshields Safely use hand tools and specialized repair equipment Perform hands-on work throughout the workday Pre-Employment Requirements Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the company's pre-employment screening process.

Pay increases may be available upon permanent hire and as the employee demonstrates reliability, quality workmanship, increased technical ability, and the ability to perform repairs independently.
