Job Description
- Reactor Services Project Manager (Fleet)
Location:
- Based at Vogtle initially. Potentially relocated to other sites in the future
Travel:
- Up to 60%
Reporting To:
- Fleet Reactor Services Manager
Position Type:
- Corporate / Fleet Support The Fleet Reactor Services (RXS) Project Manager will be responsible for the successful execution of refueling outage activities assigned to reactor services.
Note:
- Lifting and Rigging activities require an Advanced or Master Rigger.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- + Currently have or can obtain and maintain UAA + 5 years of commercial nuclear plant experience required + Technical and Project Management background in Nuclear Power preferred + Previous experience supervising union craft personnel in a commercial plant preferred + Provide direct supervision of Reactor Services Technicians (must maintain an SNC First Line Supervisor qualification).

Physical Requirements:
Stand, Walk, Climb, Bend, Stoop, + Ability to work in containment or on the refuel floor for extended periods up to 12 hours + Proficient Organizational Skills + Effective Problem-Solving Skills + Well Developed Analytical Skills + Ability to Work in Radiological Controlled Areas + Ability to qualify and wear respiratory equipment including PAPRs + Available to Work Callout + Mentally and Physically Fit-for-DutyMAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Major duties performed in this role and percentage of time spent on duties.- + Accountable for planning, execution, and oversight for RXS outage scope (70%) + Serve as an experienced and knowledgeable RXS PM + Keeps the fleet and site reactor services manager informed of emerging issues and path to resolution.

summit, etc. as directed by manager. + Other scope as assigned by manager . + Manages resource needs in response to site operational needs (5%) + Serves as an experienced leader with knowledge of company and industry experts available to resolve issues at the sites. + Leverage fleet peers and organizational resources to assist in issue resolution + Benchmark for industry best practices and incorporate into our processes + Attend industry conferences to ensure the latest OE is being shared and utilized. + Communication to key stakeholders in the corporation (5%) + Effectively communicate technical, financial, and work progress status to all levels of corporate and site management + Provide communication with site management and fleet peers + Reactor Services Administration- (20%) + Ensure standardization of processes is based on industry best practices obtained through benchmarking. + Conducts program self-assessments, observations, and evaluates plant activities + Influences and facilitates positive outcomes with the relative stakeholder peer teams (Operations, Maintenance, Work Management), as well as other internal and external working groups. + Serves as subject matter expert, mentoring others for knowledge transfer, and formulating/facilitating the development of standards and procedures for the SNC fleet. + Submit Refuel, SG, RCP playbooks improvements to manager. + Support IRT and other groups as needed by manager- Southern Nuclear
