Accurately diagnose complex engine performance, drivability, electrical, and electronic system concerns. Diagnose and repair CAN bus communication issues, control module faults, and intermittent electrical problems. Perform advanced engine, transmission, drivetrain, suspension, steering, and braking system repairs. Diagnose turbocharging, direct injection, variable valve timing, and advanced emissions systems. Utilize factory-level diagnostic equipment and manufacturer-specific software. Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, technical service bulletins, and manufacturer repair procedures. Perform control module programming, coding, adaptations, and calibrations when properly equipped and authorized. Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and accurately document diagnostic findings. Work closely with service advisors to communicate repair recommendations and technical findings. Maintain high productivity while consistently delivering exceptional repair quality. Follow manufacturer repair procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of professional European automotive repair experience. 7-10+ years of European automotive experience strongly preferred. Proven Master Technician or A-Level diagnostic and repair capabilities. Extensive hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Land Rover, Jaguar, or MINI vehicles. Advanced understanding of European electrical systems, electronic control modules, and vehicle communication networks. Ability to independently diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, and drivability problems. Experience using professional and manufacturer-specific diagnostic equipment. Proficiency in interpreting wiring diagrams and performing electrical testing. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a professional automotive repair environment. Must possess a professional automotive tool set. Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications ASE Master Automotive Technician certification. BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, or other European manufacturer certifications. Previous European dealership or specialized independent repair shop experience. Experience with BMW ISTA, Mercedes-Benz XENTRY, Audi/VW ODIS, or Porsche PIWIS. Advanced experience with vehicle module programming, coding, and software updates. Extensive experience diagnosing complex European electrical and drivability issues. ASE Master certification is preferred but not required. Extensive European manufacturer training and demonstrated diagnostic expertise will be strongly considered.
