Job Summary OK Tire Store & Automotive is seeking a dependable, full-time Automotive Repair Technician to join our team in Roanoke, AL. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical systems, braking/ABS systems, suspension, and HVAC systems. Repair and maintain vehicles by replacing or repairing components such as engine, steering, suspension, braking, electrical, and HVAC. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately to troubleshoot complex electrical problems. Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and tire rotations to ensure safety and performance standards are met. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools efficiently to perform repairs with precision. Complete routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, fluid flushes, tire rotations, and alignments. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Test drive vehicles to ensure safety and quality control standards are met. Knowledge of Aftermarket Suspension and Vehicle Upfitting (Highly Desirable) Background/Knowledge of Light Duty Diesel Systems (Highly Desirable) Qualifications (Preferred but not required) Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (Required). Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Extensive knowledge of vehicle systems such as powertrain, transmission, suspension, electrical wiring diagrams, and ADAS technology. Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, wiring diagram interpretation, and the use of automotive diagnostic tools. Mechanical proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools. Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot complex vehicle issues efficiently. Valid mechanic certification or relevant technical training is highly desirable.
