Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating metal components and assemblies according to drawings, specifications and blueprints provided by customers. This role requires a strong understanding of various fabrication techniques, water jet cutting, plasma cutting, shearing, press brake, iron workers, saw cutting, and the use of power and hand tools. The Fabricator will ensure that all work meets industry codes and standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Operate press brake machines and other fabrication equipment to shape metal components.
- Utilize plasma cutting tools to cut materials accurately as per design requirements.
- Assemble fabricated parts using hand tools, power tools, and rigging techniques.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to improve fabrication processes and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Qualifications
- Proven experience in metal fabrication or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating press brake machines, plasma cutting equipment, and other fabrication tools.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Knowledge of industry codes and safety standards related to fabrication work.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, cranes, and rigging equipment effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
