Lube Technician -

Job Description Summary:

A Lube Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and basic inspections. They are often the first point of contact in identifying potential mechanical issues and play a key role in customer satisfaction and vehicle longevity. Key Duties & Responsibilities Perform oil changes — drain and replace engine oil according to manufacturer specifications. Replace filters — oil, air, cabin, and fuel filters as needed. Check and top off fluids — coolant, brake fluid, power steering, transmission, and windshield washer fluid. Inspect vehicle components — belts, hoses, underbody, engine block, and suspension for leaks or wear. Tire services — check tire pressure, add air, rotate tires, and inspect tread wear. Battery checks — test battery health, clean terminals, and replace batteries when needed. Install basic parts — wiper blades, light bulbs, and vehicle batteries. Maintain cleanliness — keep engine areas and vehicle interiors clean during service. Document services — complete detailed service reports and communicate findings to service advisors. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to operate shop equipment safely (lifts, tools, fluid systems). Good manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination. Effective communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license. Minimum Age 18 Years. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED. Postsecondary automotive or lube technician training preferred. ASE certification is beneficial but not required.

Pay:

$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
