Diesel/Automotive Mechanic We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel/Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles and equipment. This position is responsible for keeping vehicles safe, reliable, and operating efficiently through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality repairs. The successful candidate should be safety-minded, mechanically knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on diesel and gasoline vehicles and equipment. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine-related problems. Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension components, steering systems, and other vehicle components. Perform oil changes, fluid services, filter replacements, and other scheduled maintenance. Troubleshoot and repair diesel fuel systems, cooling systems, exhaust systems, and emissions components. Use diagnostic equipment and scan tools to identify mechanical and electronic issues. Inspect vehicles to identify safety concerns and recommend necessary repairs. Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while following manufacturer specifications and safety procedures. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts, and maintenance performed. Communicate repair needs and vehicle conditions with supervisors and other team members. Keep the shop, tools, and work areas clean and organized. Follow all company safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements. Respond to emergency or breakdown repair needs when required. Perform other related mechanical duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience as a diesel or automotive mechanic preferred. Strong knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines and vehicle systems. Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems. Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and equipment. Ability to read and understand repair manuals and service documentation. Valid driver's license. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to safely lift, move, and work around heavy equipment and vehicle components. ASE certification or relevant technical training is a plus. Pay:

$24.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
