In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our skilled technicians, ensuring a seamless and positive service experience. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and European vehicle experience will help accurately assess vehicle needs, prepare detailed estimates, and communicate effectively with clients. Duties Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and gather detailed information about their automotive issues. Write clear, accurate service estimates using estimating software and communicate repair recommendations effectively. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, shocks & struts, transmissions, and collision repairs to maximize customer satisfaction and shop productivity. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services while maintaining high-quality standards. Manage customer communication throughout the repair process, providing updates and explaining repair procedures in an understandable manner. Handle transactions accurately and process payments efficiently while maintaining proper documentation. Maintain detailed records of all service work performed, including vehicle diagnostics, repair orders, and client interactions. Qualifications Proven experience as an automotive service writer or in auto service management within a dealership or independent shop environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a service technician or familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools. Proficiency in estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating systems. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Knowledge of automotive repair procedures including oil changes, brake repair, tire service, suspension work, shocks & struts, transmissions, collision repair, and oil changes. Ability to upsell services confidently while ensuring customer satisfaction. Valid driver's license with a safe driving record. Experience with cash handling and managing multiple client interactions efficiently.
