Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic Tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in vehicle engine repair and vehicle maintenance, with the ability to work on various types of heavy equipment and farm machinery. Duties Perform diagnostics and assist on repairs on diesel and gas engines, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections. Weld and suspension components as necessary to ensure structural integrity and functionality. Troubleshoot electrical systems and air brake systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Read and interpret schematics to assist in repairs and maintenance tasks. Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on repairs. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs. Qualifications Proven experience in diesel and gas engine repair or related fields is required. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices. Basic knowledge of air brake systems and hydraulic, electrical systems, and schematics. Ability to weld and perform suspension work is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications may be beneficial.
