Must have the ability to plan ahead, understand the basic mechanics of automobiles, and offer the highest levels of accuracy and quality. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the complete assembly of specialty vehicles to a high degree of quality. Trim and mount Fiberglass bodies to Chassis Install brake and steering systems. Install electrical and electronic systems including crimping/pinning connectors and building sub-harnesses. Install transmissions, engines, and fuel components as needed. Build and assemble cooling, hydraulic and fuel lines and systems and AN style fittings. Open and service internally lubricated engine components (pistons/cylinders, oil pumps, etc) MIG/TIG welding on small pieces with visible quality welds. Install and diagnose MOTEC systems and data logging. Tune and adjust Weber carburetors and manual timing adjustments. Qualifications Associate's degree from vocational or community college and 2-5 years of relative experience, or a combination of both Experience in internal engine assembly Experience in building custom/specialized vehicles Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams Ability to use a computer, work order management software, Microsoft Office products Be able to lift 75lbs (Heavier items will be 'Team lift') Maintain a clean, safe working environment. Provide help/support within multiple departments as needed Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed. Possess a valid state driver's license (required for logistics and test driving as needed)

Pay:

$35.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
