For more than 20 years, WeldTec Designs has designed, manufactured, and installed American-made suspension systems and aftermarket products for vans, trucks, and RVs. Our shop works on everything from Ford and Chevrolet vans to Class B and Class C motorhomes and Ford F-Series Super C RV platforms. This position is a step above an entry-level shop helper. We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable working on vehicles, and capable of completing assigned installation work while continuing to learn from our more experienced technicians. You do not need to be a master technician, but you do need to know your way around tools, understand basic automotive systems, work safely, and take pride in doing the job correctly. Primary Responsibilities Install WeldTec Designs suspension lift kits, components, and aftermarket accessories Assist with and independently perform suspension installation work based on experience level Remove and replace shocks, springs, control components, brackets, wheels, tires, and related suspension components Install bumpers, steps, brackets, skid plates, and other aftermarket accessories Mount and balance wheels and tires Perform basic vehicle inspections before, during, and after installation Read and follow work orders, installation instructions, and technician notes Verify that correct parts and hardware are being installed on each vehicle Properly torque suspension, wheel, and accessory hardware to specification Identify damaged, worn, incorrect, or missing components and communicate issues to the Install Manager Keep assigned jobs moving efficiently and communicate when additional parts, information, or assistance are needed Maintain tools, equipment, and assigned work areas Keep installation bays clean, organized, and safe Assist other technicians when required Test and verify completed work prior to vehicle delivery Follow WTD quality-control and safety procedures Perform additional shop and installation duties as assigned Experience in any of the following is highly valuable: Suspension installation Lift kits and lowering kits Automotive repair Trucks, vans, or RVs Aftermarket accessories Wheels and tires Alignment and suspension geometry Welding and fabrication 12-volt electrical wiring Bumpers and exterior accessories You do not need experience in every category. Qualifications Mechanically inclined with a good understanding of basic automotive systems Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, impact tools, torque wrenches, jacks, and shop equipment Ability to accurately read and follow work orders and installation instructions Strong attention to detail Good time-management and organizational skills Able to follow instructions and complete assigned work without constant supervision Willing to ask questions when something does not look or fit correctly Good communication skills Team-oriented attitude Basic computer skills Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Reliable transportation Must be legally authorized to work in the United States 1+ year of automotive, suspension, tire, fabrication, or related mechanical experience preferred. ASE certification is a plus but is not required . Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding automotive position.

Regularly lift and move 50+ pounds Stand for extended periods Bend, kneel, reach, climb, and work underneath vehicles Safely operate shop equipment Work around vehicles, lifts, tools, machinery, and automotive components throughout the workday Work Schedule Full-Time Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM-4:30 PM Four 10-hour workdays with Fridays off. Compensation $20.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience and mechanical ability Pay is based on actual experience, automotive knowledge, mechanical ability, and ability to perform installation work independently. This is not just a shop cleanup or helper position. You will be expected to turn wrenches, learn our products, complete assigned installation work, and become increasingly self-sufficient as your experience grows. At the same time, we are not looking for a shop manager or someone to supervise the department. The right person is somewhere in the middle: a capable technician who wants to continue developing their skills and become a stronger installer. Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
