Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Level 3 Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues. This position requires a commitment to safety, quality work, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Daily Responsibilities:
Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel engines and related systems. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports. Oversee and mentor junior mechanics, providing guidance and training as needed. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding repair needs and progress. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to assess vehicle performance. Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree preferred. Automotive Service Excellence (A.S.E.) Certification. 5 years of experience working with heavy equipment vehicles. strong knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Perform physical tasks, including climbing, standing, sitting, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and crouching. Ability to lift heavy equipment up to 80 lbs. Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoor and indoor settings. Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods. Central Valley Meat is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
