Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and overhaul mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently and precisely. Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features and perform wheel alignments to optimize vehicle handling and safety. Repair diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics tasks with expertise in diesel engine repair and maintenance. Read and interpret automotive schematics for complex repairs involving automotive electrical systems and mechanical systems repair. Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks accurately, and ensure all work complies with dealership or industry standards. Experience Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in dealership or independent shop environments. Demonstrated expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems repair, transmission repair, brake repair, suspension systems repair, and oil change procedures. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, wheel alignment techniques, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, and welding skills is highly desirable. Familiarity with ADAS technology, diesel mechanics, heavy equipment mechanics experience, auto estimating processes, and working with schematics enhances your candidacy. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs needed and maintenance recommendations. Prior dealership experience or certification in automotive technology is a plus for candidates eager to grow their professional expertise.
