Now hiring for a Fleet Mechanic for the Desert Cities area. Working out of the yard located in Indio. Preforms general maintenance and repairs to all company vehicles and equipment as directed. Must have experience with large fleet of trucks. Heavy duty, diesel engines, diagnosing, and preventative maintenance.

WORK HOURS

Typical hours are from 6:00a.m. to 5:00p.m., Monday through Friday. Additional overtime hours and Saturday schedules may be required.

SALARY RANGE

Hourly wage starting $24.05 to $36.56 + Fringe Benefits $8.78 Total Compensation up to $44.34 per hour D.O.E. Overtime rate is one and one half times regular pay after 8 hours per day. Payroll is paid weekly.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma Read, speak and write English Must be physically fit & pass pre-employment physical A valid Driver's License Must pass company driving test Ability to work in adverse conditions Reliable transportation Professional and/or vocational schooling or equivalent (as determined by WCA) related in mechanic areas Expertise in fleet maintenance

• Class B or Class A driver's license preferred.

REGULAR JOB DUTIES

Repair vehicles and equipment as directed both at company facility and in field Troubleshoot and diagnose problems Fabrication and welding skills Determining priorities, show enthusiasm while working accurately, concentrating amid distractions, remember details, making decisions, work rapidly but safely, work well with others, work well alone, and work under pressure Must complete service requests completely, accurately, and legible Perform other duties as requested

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES RECOMMENDED

Valid California Driver's License Valid Class B License-preferred Mechanic Certification -a plus
