2nd Shift Mechanic Ultimate Staffing Services - 3.8 Laguna Hills, CA Job Details Permanent $33 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications CDL B High school diploma or GED Full Job Description 2nd Shift Mechanic (Automotive & Heavy-Duty Vehicles) | Monday-Friday 2PM - 10:30PM | $33/hr Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced Mechanic to join a 2nd Shift vehicle maintenance team. This union position responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a fleet of automobiles, trucks, buses, and other vehicles.

$33/hr Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain automobiles, trucks, buses, and other fleet vehicles Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on vehicles and equipment Troubleshoot and repair gasoline and diesel engines Inspect, test, and repair electrical systems, controls, brakes, steering, suspension, transmissions, and drivetrains Install and replace components including ignition systems, batteries, transmissions, and related mechanical parts Perform tune-ups and adjustments to ensure vehicles meet operational and emissions standards Diagnose vehicle issues using scanners, diagnostic equipment, and other testing tools Align and balance wheels, rotate tires, and perform brake system repairs Maintain compliance with DOT and vehicle safety standards Complete maintenance and repair records accurately and timely Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure fleet readiness and reliability Participate in ongoing training and skills development programsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear and to use hands to finger, grasp, kneel, pull, push, stoop, balance, climb, lift up to 100 lbs., stand for periods of up to 6 hours. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 50lbs and walk for periods of up to 2 hours. The employee is occasionally required to crawl and crouch and lift up to 100 lbs. Qualfications High school diploma or equivalent required Extensive experience in automotive, heavy-duty truck, bus, or fleet maintenance Valid California Class B Driver's License required Knowledge of electronics and their application in vehicles of all types.- Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of light andheavy-duty automotive and related equipment. Knowledge of OBDII codes and their application.
- Ability to read and write work-related job instructions in English. Ability to read and follow complex diagnostic procedure manuals.
- Ability to weld and do some metal fabrication.
