A-Level Automotive Technician / Diagnostic Tech — $50/Flag Hour + Guarantee | No Weekends South Bay Car Care — Lawndale, CA $50 per billed/flagged hour | 30-hour weekly minimum guarantee | $100K+ earning potential Are you an experienced automotive technician who can diagnose problems—not just replace parts? South Bay Car Care is looking for an A-Level Automotive Technician / Diagnostic Technician who takes pride in accurate diagnostics, quality repairs, and doing the job right the first time. We're an established 8-bay independent repair shop with strong vehicle flow and the opportunity for a productive technician to bill well beyond our 30-hour guarantee. The 30-hour guarantee is the floor—not the goal. What We Offer $50 per billed/flagged hour 30-hour weekly minimum guarantee — $1,500/week minimum $100,000+ annual earning potential Strong vehicle flow with opportunity to produce more hours Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM NO nights or weekends Health benefits Paid holidays, sick days, and vacation Ongoing technical training Modern diagnostic tools and equipment Clean, professional 8-bay shop Established business serving the South Bay since 1998 Your Earning Opportunity At $50 per billed hour: 40 hours/week ≈ $104,000/year 45 hours/week ≈ $117,000/year 50 hours/week ≈ $130,000/year We provide the vehicles, workflow, equipment, information, and support . What You'll Be Doing Diagnose Check Engine Light and drivability concerns Perform electrical and mechanical diagnostics Complete maintenance and mechanical repairs Perform thorough vehicle inspections Identify safety and maintenance needs Communicate findings clearly with our service advisors Verify repairs and maintain high quality standards Work efficiently while minimizing comebacks What We're Looking For 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills Strong mechanical repair ability Experience with modern scan tools and diagnostic equipment Ability to work independently and efficiently Thorough inspection skills Valid driver's license and insurability Professional, dependable, and team-oriented Pride in doing the job right the first time ASE certifications are a plus, but real-world diagnostic ability, productivity, quality workmanship, and professionalism matter most to us.
