Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive team! In this vital role, you will be one of the primary points of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for maintenance and repairs. Your enthusiasm and mechanical knowledge will ensure every customer feels confident and well-informed about their vehicle's needs. You will coordinate between customers and our skilled technicians, manage service orders, and promote additional services to enhance vehicle performance and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for automotive repair with exceptional customer service skills, all while contributing to a fast-paced, energetic environment. Previous tire sales experience is a must. Duties Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Explain repair procedures, estimated costs, and timelines clearly and transparently Write detailed service orders and work with technicians to prioritize repairs Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, transmissions, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs Manage automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately and recommend appropriate solutions Handle auto estimating and service writing efficiently to ensure smooth workflow Assist with vehicle maintenance scheduling, including oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and other routine maintenance tasks Process cash handling transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism at all times Collaborate with the sales team to support automobile sales efforts when applicable Maintain detailed records of all service activities and customer interactions Skills Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive service management Extensive mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, air brakes, oil changes, alignments, shocks & struts, tire services, diesel engines, and auto body repairs Experience in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques for both gasoline and diesel engines Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers of all backgrounds Skilled in auto estimating software and service writing processes Ability to upsell services tactfully while prioritizing customer satisfaction Familiarity with mechanic work or service technician experience is highly advantageous Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple service orders simultaneously Cash handling experience ensuring accuracy during transactions Knowledge of automotive sales processes is a plus Join us as a Service Advisor if you're passionate about cars and delivering outstanding customer experiences!
