In this role, you will combine your technical expertise with your sales skills to provide exceptional suspension system solutions to our customers. You will be responsible for diagnosing suspension issues, recommending appropriate repairs or upgrades, and delivering outstanding customer service. Responsibilities Diagnose suspension system problems using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics, including shocks & struts, air suspension components, and other mechanical systems. Perform repairs and maintenance on suspension systems, including replacing shocks, struts, springs, bushings, and other related components. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to execute repairs efficiently and accurately. Engage with customers to assess their vehicle needs, explain repair options clearly, and recommend suitable suspension upgrades or replacements. Manage the sale of suspension parts and accessories by providing product knowledge on items such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, and other automotive electrical systems. Conduct vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, wheel alignments, tire services, and brake repairs to ensure comprehensive customer satisfaction. Read and interpret schematics for complex mechanical systems like powertrain, transmission, and heavy equipment mechanics to facilitate precise repairs. Requirements Proven dealership or automotive repair industry experience with a focus on suspension systems. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, transmissions, diesel engines, and electrical components. Hands-on experience working with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for troubleshooting complex issues. Familiarity with ADAS technology, air brake systems, oil changes, wheel alignments, tire service, and welding techniques is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical repair equipment in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Experience working with GM vehicles or heavy equipment mechanics is a plus but not required. Valid automotive repair certification or mechanic experience demonstrating comprehensive mechanical systems repair skills.
