Automotive Technician Dealership Mas Motors - 4.5 Norco, CA Job Details Full-time $19.00 - $31.94 an hour 14 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Mechanic experience Driver's License Attention to detail Hand tools Mechanical troubleshooting Transmissions Full Job Description Job Summary We're looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of vehicles, including auction and used inventory. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, can work independently, and is comfortable with various makes and models, including BMW and Audi. Duties Perform thorough full-vehicle inspections on vehicles purchased from auctions and other sources Inspect engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, brakes, cooling systems, A/C, electrical systems, and other major components Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and determine necessary repairs Identify existing, potential, and hidden issues during vehicle inspections Road-test vehicles to evaluate drivability and overall condition Perform routine automotive maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake service, fluid services, and other general maintenance Perform mechanical repairs as needed Use diagnostic scanners and specialized equipment to troubleshoot vehicle issues Conduct auto estimating and provide recommendations for repair costs Work on automotive electrical systems and diagnose warning lights and electrical problems Utilize hand tools and shop equipment to complete inspections and repairs Welding tasks as needed Help determine which repairs should be completed before vehicles are offered for sale Maintain accurate communication with management regarding vehicle condition and recommended repairs Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Skills Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills Experience inspecting and repairing used vehicles is highly preferred Ability to work on a wide variety of makes and models Experience with European vehicles such as BMW and Audi is a plus Knowledge of automotive service, repair, and diagnostic procedures Proficiency in automotive electrical systems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to accurately identify mechanical issues during vehicle inspections Ability to work independently and efficiently Ability to weld is preferred but not required Certification from a vocational school or dealership training program is preferred but not required Valid driver's license and a good driving record We are looking for someone who can inspect a vehicle thoroughly and know what they're looking at . Since many of our vehicles come from auctions, attention to detail and the ability to identify problems before a vehicle goes into inventory are extremely important. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on different makes and models and can handle everything from basic maintenance to more advanced diagnostics and repairs.
