Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools efficiently to execute repairs with precision. Repair ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features and work on diesel engine repairs for heavy equipment or diesel-powered vehicles. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems effectively. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction with the quality of work performed. Experience Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in automotive service and mechanical systems repair. Dealership experience is highly preferred, especially with GM vehicles or similar brands. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and suspension systems is essential. Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement, and tire service is desirable. Familiarity with auto estimating software and maintaining detailed repair records is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy-duty maintenance machinery. Certification in diesel mechanics or heavy equipment mechanics is a plus but not required; relevant training or ongoing education is encouraged.
