Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently. Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and other automotive electrical systems to ensure modern vehicle features function correctly. Work with heavy equipment mechanics and diesel mechanics when servicing diesel engines or heavy-duty vehicles. Read and interpret schematics for complex repairs; follow manufacturer guidelines for GM vehicles and other makes. Maintain detailed repair records, complete auto estimating procedures, and ensure all work adheres to dealership or industry standards. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Experience Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a solid understanding of mechanical systems repair. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific procedures. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics software and electrical systems troubleshooting. Knowledge of ADAS calibration, air brake systems, transmission repair, alignment procedures, and suspension system repair. Skilled in using schematics for complex repairs involving powertrain components or mechanical systems. Experience working with diesel engines, heavy equipment mechanics, or automotive electrical systems is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency in hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and auto estimating software.
