Growney Motors is completing its 104th year in business in Red Bluff! Come enjoy working for a small, family-owned dealership where we come together everyday as a team. Growney Motors is looking for an Experienced Automotive Technician to join our team at our dealership in Red Bluff, CA. We desire a technician with a positive attitude who is passionate about providing excellent service . In this position, you will diagnose and repair vehicles. Primarily work will be on General Motors vehicles, but occasionally other brands will be presented as well. Your ability to perform your job correctly and in a timely manner will make you a valuable member of our team. Primary Responsibilities Perform work on the repair order correctly and efficiently to meet dealership standards Test drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs once authorization has been granted Document all service work and parts on the work order Communicate effectively with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed about the progress of the repair and if any additional work is needed Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training to stay up to date on the latest technology and equipment Operate all tools and equipment to comply with company safety policies and report any safety issues to management promptly Qualifications At least 4 years experience as an Automotive Service Technician At least 2 years experience in Heavy Line Repairs At least 2 years experience in Vehicle Diagnostics Mechanical ability to perform repairs and knowledge to operate diagnostic equipment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong desire to provide excellent customer service to build customer loyalty Willingness to learn new repair methods and the latest diagnostic software and equipment Clean driving record with valid driver's license High school diploma or equivalent GM certifications preferred, but not required ASE certifications preferred, but not required Smog license preferred, but not required Benefits Starting pay, flat rate with hourly guarantee, $34 to $55 per hour, depending on experience Medical insurance 401(k) retirement contributions Paid vacation time Paid sick leave Paid Training Service Department Hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30
