Duties Conduct smog checks on standard passenger cars, ensuring compliance with state and federal emissions standards Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues and verify safety features Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform repairs, adjustments, and maintenance tasks on various vehicle systems Assist customers by explaining repair needs Properly Repair Vehicles Perform basic vehicle maintenance, and repair mechanical systems including electrical components Conduct vehicle inspections for emissions compliance, safety standards, and overall performance Perform heavy lifting as needed during repairs or tire changes while following safety protocols Requirements Prior mechanic experience or automotive technician background with a strong understanding of mechanical systems Knowledge of standard passenger car operation, automotive electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and auto estimating software efficiently Familiarity with automotive parts, accessories, and repair techniques Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and services Capable of performing vehicle inspections and diagnosing mechanical issues accurately Ability to lift heavy objects safely and work in physically demanding environments Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in automotive tire change, vehicle repairs, or electrical systems repair is highly desirable Embark on a rewarding journey where your skills make a tangible difference! $68,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
