Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices efficiently to complete repairs. Work with automotive service advisors to provide accurate auto estimating and communicate repair progress clearly to customers. Repair diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and air brake systems. Follow detailed schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues on various vehicle makes including GM vehicles. Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems repair. Dealership experience or similar automotive service background preferred; familiarity with automotive electrical systems is a plus. Knowledge of ADAS technology, diesel engine repair, transmission repair, and suspension systems is highly desirable. Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize diagnostic tools effectively. Mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance devices. Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain repairs clearly and professionally. Valid certification or licensing in automotive repair; ASE certification is advantageous.
