Wound Care Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive wound assessments, including wound type, location, size, depth, drainage, tissue characteristics, and signs of infection. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized wound care plans based on patient needs and provider orders. Perform wound treatments and dressing changes using appropriate sterile and clean techniques. Manage pressure injuries, diabetic ulcers, venous and arterial ulcers, surgical wounds, burns, and other complex wounds. Monitor wounds for infection, delayed healing, necrosis, and other complications; promptly communicate significant changes to providers. Administer prescribed medications, topical treatments, and pain management interventions related to wound care. Assist with wound debridement procedures and coordinate advanced wound therapies as ordered. Provide education to patients and families regarding wound care, nutrition, pressure relief, skin protection, and prevention of recurrence. Implement pressure injury prevention strategies, including repositioning, offloading, specialty surfaces, and skin assessments. Collaborate with physicians, wound care specialists, dietitians, physical therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members. Obtain and document wound measurements, photographs, treatment responses, and patient progress accurately in the EMR.

$2,600.00 - $2,691.00 per week
