Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service requests. Utilize estimating software to prepare detailed repair estimates, including parts, labor, and additional services. Communicate clearly with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, and estimated timeframes. Manage client communication throughout the repair process, providing updates and explaining repair findings in an understandable manner. Collaborate with the service team to promote dealership offerings and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service writing and client communication. Qualifications Proven experience in automotive service writing or a similar role within a dealership or automotive repair shop. Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance procedures, and repair processes. Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Hands-on experience with auto service management systems and familiarity with collision repair processes. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Knowledge of automotive systems including transmissions, oil changes, suspension components, tire service, shocks & struts, brake repair, and auto estimating techniques. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving various vehicle types is preferred.
