Responsibilities Conduct standard passenger car smog tests using state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to ensure compliance with emissions standards. Diagnose mechanical issues related to vehicle emissions, electrical systems, and engine performance. Perform vehicle inspections to identify necessary repairs or maintenance needs. Execute automotive repairs including mechanical systems repair, vehicle maintenance, and automotive electrical systems troubleshooting. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs such as auto estimating, and component replacements. Assist customers by explaining repair needs, providing estimates, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the process. Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for vehicle repairs and parts replacement while maintaining safety protocols. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive service and repair procedures. Mechanical knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and systems including electrical components. Experience with vehicle inspections, auto estimating, and automotive tire changes. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment efficiently. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments. Excellent customer service skills with clear communication abilities. Knowledge of standard passenger car operation and mechanical systems repair is essential.
