We design and sell innovative products that support outdoor lifestyles, with a focus on quality, adventure, and performance. As we continue to grow, we're expanding our product line to serve a broader range of off-road vehicles—including roof racks, tire carriers, side steps, and more. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and highly organized Product Development Mechanical Engineer to join our Irvine-based team. This role will focus on expanding our product offerings to include a wider range of off-road vehicle accessories. You will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, and launching new products, while working closely with overseas manufacturers, internal stakeholders, and supply chain partners. Key Responsibilities Design and develop off-road accessories such as roof racks, tire carriers, and side steps for a variety of vehicles. Lead product development from concept through prototyping, testing, and production. Collaborate with manufacturing partners overseas to ensure feasibility, cost-efficiency, and product quality. Generate CAD models, technical drawings, and BOMs for all designs. Manage timelines and coordinate cross-functionally with internal product, operations, and marketing teams. Conduct competitor analysis, field testing, and market research to inform design direction. Maintain accurate documentation for all product development activities. Oversee quality control standards for prototype and production samples. Ensure all designs meet safety, durability, and performance standards expected in off-road use. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or experience in product design and development—preferably in automotive or off-road accessory markets. Proficiency with SolidWorks (or similar CAD software), prototyping, and mechanical testing. Deep understanding of vehicle dynamics and accessory mounting systems. Experience managing product lifecycles and timelines. Proven ability to work with overseas manufacturers (preferably in Asia) to bring products to market. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams. Passion for the off-road, overlanding, or outdoor vehicle market is a big plus. Preferred Qualifications Experience with FEA or structural simulation tools. Familiarity with lean product development and small batch prototyping. Hands-on fabrication or mechanical testing background. Why Join White Top Adventures?
