Summary We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at Lakeside Organic Gardens in California. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and Repairing trucks, trailers, tractors, and yard tractors. You will also be responsible for diagnosing and repairing medium to heavy-duty refrigerated trucks and trailers under minimal supervision. Your expertise will play a vital role in supporting our commitment to organic farming. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on agricultural machinery and equipment. Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems effectively. Utilize hand tools and heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Operate forklifts and other machinery as needed for repairs. Preventative maintenance inspections Air and hydraulic brake repairs Tire repairs Warranty procedures Steering and suspension Electrical troubleshooting comply with EPA procedures Conduct heavy lifting as necessary during maintenance tasks. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing duties. Willingness to continue learning advanced mechanical duties such as diagnostics and internal engine and transmission repairs Requirements Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in an agricultural setting. Strong knowledge of hand tools, heavy equipment operation, and repair techniques. Ability to lift heavy objects and operate machinery safely. Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and on call rotations for roadside assistance. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
