Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and motivated Auto Body B-Technician to join our collision-repair team. The ideal candidate will have experience completing light-to-moderate structural and non-structural repairs while working under the direction of a senior technician or production manager. This position is well suited for a technician who has established collision-repair skills and wants to continue developing toward an A-Technician role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform light-to-moderate collision repairs according to manufacturer procedures and repair plans. Remove and install bumpers, fenders, doors, hoods, deck lids and related components. Repair minor-to-moderate dents and damaged body panels. Perform panel replacement, metal straightening, welding and basic structural repairs within demonstrated skill level. Complete vehicle disassembly and identify hidden damage or missing repair operations. Notify the estimator or production manager of additional damage before continuing repairs. Read and follow written repair plans, estimates and OEM repair procedures. Test-fit replacement parts before refinishing. Properly protect vehicle interiors, glass, electronics and adjacent panels during repairs. Maintain organized parts and hardware throughout the repair process. Assist senior technicians with major structural or complex repairs when assigned. Verify that repairs are complete and ready for the refinishing or reassembly department. Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area. Follow all OSHA requirements, shop policies and equipment-safety procedures. Help maintain cycle-time, quality and productivity goals. Participate in training and continuing education as required. Required Qualifications At least two years of auto-body or collision-repair experience preferred. Working knowledge of collision-repair tools, equipment and procedures. Ability to perform basic welding and metal-repair operations. Ability to remove and install common vehicle body components. Ability to read and understand repair estimates and work orders. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a production team. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Must provide personal hand tools appropriate for the position. Preferred Qualifications Technical-school or collision-repair program completion. I-CAR training or certifications. Experience using frame-measuring and resistance spot-welding equipment. Familiarity with OEM repair procedures and modern vehicle construction. Experience working in a high-production collision-repair facility. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel and work in various positions throughout the workday. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate power tools, welding equipment and collision-repair machinery. Ability to work around dust, noise, fumes and automotive refinishing materials while using required personal protective equipment. Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
