Automotive Mechanic / Classic Vehicle Restoration Free Wheelin Company is looking to add two mechanics to our team. We specialize in classic Ford Broncos and vintage vehicle restoration, including frame-off restorations, custom builds, mechanical upgrades, and modern drivetrain conversions. We are looking for candidates at multiple experience levels . Whether you're early in your automotive career and want to learn restoration work or you're an experienced technician capable of taking ownership of complete builds, we'd like to talk. Full-time and part-time positions are available. What You'll Work On Our projects range from traditional classic-vehicle restoration to modernized restomods, including: Classic Ford Broncos and vintage trucks Complete frame-off restorations Engine and transmission removal and installation Suspension, steering, brakes, axles, and drivetrain systems Fuel and cooling systems Electrical and wiring Aftermarket A/C, gauges, and accessories EFI and modern engine-management systems Ford Coyote engine swaps Ford 7.3L Godzilla engine swaps Modern transmission and drivetrain conversions Vehicle assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and final road testing Entry-Level Candidates We're willing to train the right person.

Ideal entry-level candidates should have:

Basic automotive/mechanical knowledge Experience using common automotive and shop tools An interest in classic vehicles and restoration Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Attention to detail Ability to follow instructions and work with experienced mechanics Dependability and a valid driver's license Formal certifications are not required for entry-level candidates. This is an opportunity to learn hands-on classic vehicle restoration and eventually develop skills in modern drivetrain conversions and high-end custom builds.

Experienced / Senior

Candidates For our senior-level opening, we're looking for someone who can work independently, diagnose problems, and take ownership of major portions of a build.

Ideal experience includes:

Professional automotive repair and restoration experience Strong knowledge of classic American vehicles Classic Ford/Bronco experience preferred Engine and transmission installation Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Electrical diagnostics and ability to read wiring diagrams EFI and modern engine-management systems Modern drivetrain conversions Coyote and/or Godzilla swap experience strongly preferred Welding and fabrication experience is a plus ASE or other automotive certifications are preferred Ability to mentor and assist less-experienced mechanics We're looking for someone who is a true mechanic and problem solver —someone who understands how older vehicles work but is also comfortable integrating modern engines, electronics, fuel injection, transmissions, and other technology into classic vehicles.
