Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Automotive Technician to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive vehicle repairs and maintenance, ensuring optimal performance and safety for our customers. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional automotive service, utilizing your technical proficiency and mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles, and to develop your skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues. Perform repairs on powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and diesel engines, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Repair vehicle suspension systems and perform wheel alignments to optimize handling and ride comfort. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately to troubleshoot electrical problems and replace or repair wiring as needed. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive service tools to complete repairs efficiently. Maintain detailed records of all service work performed, including auto estimating for parts and labor costs. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology and ability to calibrate these systems post-repair. Familiarity with schematics interpretation, automotive wiring diagrams, and electrical systems troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance, powertrain repair, transmission system repair, and suspension system repair. Proficiency in using diagnostic software, power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools. Strong mechanical knowledge with an emphasis on automotive electrical systems and auto estimating procedures. Service technician experience working on GM vehicles or similar brands is preferred.
