Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems, including powertrain, electrical, suspension, and transmission. Conduct repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including engine repairs (gasoline and diesel), transmission system repairs, suspension system adjustments, wheel alignments, and electrical system troubleshooting. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately to facilitate precise repairs and installations. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to execute repairs efficiently while maintaining safety standards. Service vehicles according to manufacturer specifications, ensuring adherence to quality standards for GM vehicles and other makes. Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, estimated timelines, and maintenance recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction. Maintain detailed records of all work performed using auto estimating software and ensure proper documentation for each vehicle serviced. Skills Proven dealership or service center experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Deep understanding of vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical wiring, suspension, transmission, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Proficiency in interpreting automotive wiring diagrams and schematics for complex repairs. Skilled in using automotive diagnostic tools to quickly identify issues and determine effective solutions. Mechanical aptitude combined with hands-on experience working with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and transmission servicing. Ability to troubleshoot automotive electrical systems and interpret wiring diagrams accurately. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Experience working on all brands is preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
