Job Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as a passionate and energetic Automotive Service Advisor! In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repairs. Your enthusiasm and customer-focused approach will ensure a positive experience, guiding clients through the service process with transparency and professionalism. You will coordinate between customers, technicians, and parts departments to deliver exceptional service while maximizing shop efficiency and customer satisfaction. Duties Greet customers warmly, listen actively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs. Explain repair recommendations clearly, providing detailed auto estimates and service options. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, brake repairs, suspension work, and transmission services to enhance customer value. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, track progress, and ensure timely completion of services. Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately while processing payments efficiently. Maintain detailed service writing records and update customer files with all relevant information. Promote automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and repair expertise to build trust and confidence with clients. Qualifications Previous dealership experience or auto service management background is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repairs (including transmissions, diesel engines, air brakes), and vehicle maintenance procedures. Experience with auto estimating software and service writing is a plus. Demonstrated ability in upselling services while maintaining excellent customer service skills. Mechanical knowledge across various systems such as shocks & struts, wheel alignments, suspension components, tire service, brake repair, oil changes, and auto body repair. Familiarity with automotive sales processes and automobile sales experience is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
