Job Description
Pemberton Truck Lines is hiring a Trailer Mechanic to join our team at our Jeffersonville, GA location. This is a Monday-Friday day shift position with no nights and home every day . The primary focus of this role is trailer maintenance and repair , with yard spotting and trailer movement as needed. We're looking for someone with hands-on trailer maintenance experience who can help keep our equipment safe, road-ready, and in good working condition. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trailers Diagnose and repair trailer issues involving brakes, tires, airlines, electrical systems, lighting, and body components Inspect trailers for safety, damage, and needed repairs Prepare trailers for service and ensure repairs are completed properly Move trailers around the yard as needed Assist with yard organization and trailer positioning Occasionally move trailers to local repair facilities or other locations in Georgia Assist with yard coverage and spotting responsibilities as needed Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area Qualifications Experience with trailer brakes, tires, air systems, electrical, and/or body repairs Ability to diagnose mechanical and maintenance issues CDL-A preferred, but not required Ability to safely operate and move trailers Strong backing and maneuvering skills Reliable transportation Ability to climb in and out of equipment and perform physical work Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently Why Join Pemberton Truck Lines?
