Position Summary Allstar Auto Styling is seeking an experienced B-Level Automotive Technician capable of independently diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of domestic, European, and Asian vehicles. This is a hands-on position for a technician who can accurately identify complex mechanical and electrical problems, recommend the appropriate repairs, and complete work efficiently without sacrificing quality. The ideal candidate takes ownership of each repair, communicates clearly, and treats every customer vehicle with care. Because Allstar provides both mechanical and cosmetic automotive services, this technician must work closely with the shop's wrap, paint, body, detailing, and customization teams to ensure vehicles move safely and efficiently through the entire service process. Essential Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, and performance-related vehicle concerns. Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections and clearly document all findings. Complete advanced automotive repairs accurately and efficiently. Diagnose check-engine lights, warning lights, starting problems, charging-system issues, and electrical faults. Perform brake, suspension, steering, cooling-system, and HVAC repairs. Complete engine tune-ups, oil changes, fluid services, belt replacements, filter replacements, and scheduled maintenance. Repair or replace alternators, starters, batteries, sensors, water pumps, radiators, and related components. Use scan tools, diagnostic equipment, wiring diagrams, technical service information, and testing procedures to identify root causes. Conduct pre-repair and post-repair road tests when appropriate. Provide accurate labor and parts recommendations based on inspection findings. Communicate additional repair needs to management before performing work outside the approved scope. Verify that every repair has been completed properly before returning the vehicle. Protect vehicle interiors, exteriors, custom finishes, wraps, wheels, and aftermarket components while performing repairs. Coordinate with paint, body, wrap, detailing, and restoration technicians when vehicles require multiple services. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area. Properly maintain shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and assigned tools. Follow manufacturer procedures and all applicable shop safety requirements. Assist and mentor less-experienced technicians when needed. Help maintain a professional, team-oriented shop environment. Required Qualifications At least five years of professional automotive repair experience, preferably at an A-level or master-technician level. Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose and repair complex vehicle problems. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical, mechanical, steering, suspension, braking, cooling, and engine-management systems. Experience using professional scan tools and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow manufacturer repair procedures. Ability to produce accurate, complete, and easy-to-understand inspection notes. Strong troubleshooting, time-management, and organizational skills. High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-service automotive environment. Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Must provide a professional set of automotive hand tools appropriate for the position. Ability to safely lift approximately 50 pounds and perform the physical duties associated with automotive repair. Preferred Qualifications ASE certifications or equivalent manufacturer training. Experience working on domestic, Asian, and European vehicles. Experience diagnosing advanced electrical and drivability problems. Familiarity with performance vehicles, luxury vehicles, modified vehicles, and aftermarket equipment. Experience with engine repair, advanced HVAC diagnostics, ADAS systems, or module programming.
