Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Lube Technician Mechanic Helper and be at the forefront of vehicle and equipment maintenance! As a vital team member, you'll assist experienced mechanics in performing routine vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance, ensuring safety, reliability, and optimal performance. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a wide range of machinery and automotive systems, all within a fast-paced, supportive setting. Duties Assist lead mechanics with routine vehicle and heavy equipment inspections, lubrication, and basic repairs Perform oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and fluid top-offs efficiently and accurately Support in the disassembly and assembly of mechanical components using hand tools and power tools Help troubleshoot mechanical issues by following schematics and technical manuals under supervision Conduct basic diagnostics on automotive electrical systems, brakes, suspensions, and hydraulics Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency Support the repair and maintenance of farm machinery, industrial equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery Experience Prior dealership or automotive repair experience is highly preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential Familiarity with fabrication techniques, welding, or metalworking is a plus Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, or forklifts is advantageous Knowledge of Caterpillar or other heavy-duty machinery systems enhances your fit for this role Basic understanding of schematics, mechanical systems repair, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, and alignment procedures Experience working with diesel engines, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, suspension components, and vehicle electrical systems is beneficial Mechanical knowledge combined with strong customer service skills will help you excel in supporting our clients' needs This role is paid from day one!
