Jim Hawk Truck Trailers, Inc., has an immediate opening for an experienced Semi-Trailer Mechanic at our Altoona, Iowa location. We are looking for experienced mechanics with two years of experience. This position does require working some Saturdays.

Major job duties include:

Servicing heavy duty trailers Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical and other defects Trailer body repair Basic knowledge and experience in welding steel and aluminum is needed. Industrial knowledge of air brakes, axles and suspensions is preferred. Knowledge in adjusting and replacing brakes, fabrication, suspension, alignment and basic knowledge of air systems is a plus.
