Join our Automotive Service Center team as a Service Coordinator, where your enthusiasm for automotive excellence and exceptional customer service will drive success! In this vital role, you will serve as the bridge between our valued customers and our skilled technicians, ensuring a seamless experience from vehicle drop-off to completion. Your energetic approach and automotive knowledge will help customers understand their vehicle needs, recommend services, and facilitate efficient repairs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of automotive care, delivering top-notch service while supporting our team's growth and reputation. Greet customers warmly and professionally, establishing trust and rapport from the moment they arrive. Accurately document customer concerns and vehicle issues, translating them into clear repair orders for technicians. Explain recommended services and repairs in an engaging manner, emphasizing benefits and value to encourage upselling opportunities. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and communicate updates to customers regularly. Prepare detailed auto estimates covering services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, auto repairs, and more. Process transactions efficiently using cash handling procedures while maintaining accuracy and integrity. Assist in promoting additional services like vehicle diagnostics or mechanical inspections to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue. Previous dealership experience or auto service management background is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures including transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension work, tire service, diesel engines, shocks & struts, alignments, and auto body repair. Familiarity with auto estimating software and automotive service processes is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical information to clients. Proven sales ability with experience in upselling automotive services or accessories. Mechanical knowledge combined with service technician experience enhances your effectiveness in this role. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Dealership experience or familiarity with automotive repair shops is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
